The Laboratoire d’Ingénierie des Fonctions Moléculaires (IFM) is the molecular modeling facility of the UMR7177 at the University de Strasbourg. The peculiarity of the Lab is to sit right at the interface between the domains of life science and material science. By using state-of-art molecular simulations, our mission is to provide a quantitative interpretation of fundamental phenomena at the molecular scale from recognition and self-assembly to the allosteric regulation of functional proteins. To date, IFM counts five members (i.e. one PI, two post-docs, and two PhD students) and several visiting students. Marco Cecchini is the head of the Lab.
